My Biology Honors Project
Composting
For my project, I learned how to make compost. I started with some dried leaves, semi-dried grass clippings, fresh tomato leaves, and some water. I routinely checked on my compost over the course of two months, mixing it around to provide the bacteria with a happy, oxygenated environment for them to thrive in. I also added various vegetable scraps, banana peels, and strawberry tops. I made sure it was moist enough so the bacteria wouldn't dry out. In the end, the difference is pretty dramatic, and I'm proud to see that it worked out!

Planter Project
For this project our class designed several different ideas and we eventually went with these sectioned wall planters that will also have an hydroponics system. Each team assembled their section and painted and designed it how they wanted. My group painted the design above.
